I want to make sure that we continue the whimsy of our décor on to the gift table! I collected a few odds and ends, and I plan on arranging them in some way.
Here are a few of my trials thus far:
I ended up returning this particular birdcage (to be used for cards); I am going to continue looking for something a bit larger/more detailed. I also need to find some more vintage/old books. Any suggestions on where to find some?
Did you do something special/do you have something planned for your gift table?
I have a giveaway for 100 custom post cards...don't forget to enter!
Hmm...I think you might want to take something away. It's too busy as it is. Simple is better. Maybe just the guest book and then the bird and maybe a plant. Then the card box on the gift table.
ReplyDeleteOoops, just to specify...we aren't having a guest book, we are going to have a separate "tree" in the front entry of the venue where guests hang their wishes/notes.
ReplyDeleteI actually Love it I know antique stores around here have tons of books. Also try eBay or a wanted ad on Craig's list.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't given any thought at all to setting anything on the gift table other than the card box I will have. I'd prefer they just fill the whole thing with gifts! :P Was that really tacky to say? I think what you've got going on is great...I'm interested to see how you bring it together on the wedding day.
ReplyDeleteNah, that makes sense that you'd want it filled with presents! ;) I wanted to set some stuff up on the table (it is really big) because we are planning on having a honeymoon registry which I will be strongly suggesting as what we want...and more than 1/2 of our guests are from out of town, so I'm pretty certain that if they were to buy a physical gift, it would be shipped to our house instead of brought with them to set on the table. I'm just worried that it will look really sparse and depressing without a few things set up on it to make it look like there's something on it!
